The sintering process completes the production of the cutting profile of diamond tools.

Among the "hot-pressing" sintering machines, principally intended for the production of segments in graphite moulds, are ranged the press furnaces, more suitable for the sintering of wheels or continuous rim tools in steel moulds, and at last the tunnel furnaces used for the production of diamond wire beads.

The hot-pressing type sintering machines enable to work in inert atmosphere, while the furnaces have the possibility to work in reduced atmosphere (hydrogen).
